We’ve Been Trying So Hard to Tell You: You’re Alive
The Poetry Kiln - Monthly Poems, Photos, and Handwritten Marginalia
Dear you,
Thank you so much for stepping into this little corner of the poetry world. :)
This month’s poem and accompanying pieces are a toast to not sacrificing ourselves and/or waiting for our lives to begin in the name of complete selflessness—a bit of a sticky word. Prioritizing others’ needs is critical, especially where we have privileges. However, does this mean the ‘self’ should be removed? Or, is sharing ourselves (imperfectly) the catalyzing ingredient of the values we tend to label as selfless? Any thoughts & ideas are welcome!

I hope you enjoy this month’s poem, recording, photos, and handwritten marginalia.
Take gentle, tender care & speak soon.
Gratefully,
